Between Abstraction and Visualization

Every stone sculpture is a plain piece of stone before it becomes a piece of art. A carefully carved stone changes its course from being ‘abstract’ to being a work of ‘visualization.’ It then becomes an ‘inward image’ that bears people's earnest wishes. Such stones are then weathered over thousands of years, and change their forms from being ‘visualized’ to being ‘abstract’, and then change back to being mere pieces of stone.
In our first special exhibition, we hope that our visitors will find the ‘inward image’ that is hidden in every stroke. All stones and paintings are objects that were formed from ‘inward images’ and they are ‘inward images’ embodied as a concrete form.
